Research questions:
Research questions form the basis of your hypotheses. Each thematic focus represents a single research question, the research questions are then translated into one or more hypotheses.

• Example: Your thesis examines the reciprocal effects of resources and work engagement, and how proactive behavior is the explanatory mechanism for this. It examines two research questions:
  1. How do autonomy and work engagement mutually influence each other?
  2. Does proactive behavior mediate the reciprocal effects?
  For example, the first research question is later divided into 2 hypotheses: 
  H1: Autonomy promotes work engagement.
  H2: Work engagement increases autonomy.

Variables:
Here you specify how many variables are important for your analyses.

• Example: For the above analysis there is a data set with a total of 68 variables.
  Relevant to the analyzes are: work engagement (measured using a scale with 9 items), autonomy (measured with 3 items) and need satisfaction (2 items). Neither the variables in the data set nor the items are relevant here, but the variables count: 3 variables are analyzed.

Measurement times:
Here you specify of how many measurement times the variables should be analyzed.

• Example: In the data set for the above-mentioned analysis, the participants were interviewed 5 times. However, only the autonomy from the first wave of the survey, the satisfaction of needs from the second wave of the survey, and the work engagement from the third wave of the survey should be used. “1” can be entered here because each variable in the analysis is only measured once.

Figures:
Here you specify how many figures you would like to order. You can specify which figures you need in the questionnaire after ordering. You can also order figures later if necessary.

• Example: Two moderation hypotheses should be examined, for both of which a simple slope plot should be depicted in the thesis. So two figures should be ordered.
